Senior AI Engineer

Build the AI solutions DPOBOARD delivers for clients — targeted automation through custom AI applications and agents — with governance and compliance considerations built in from the first design decision.

Responsibilities

Design and build AI applications and agents for client engagements end to end
Work directly with governance and legal teams to build compliant systems from the outset
Build automated compliance workflows — consent enforcement, DSAR routing, policy checks in deployment pipelines
Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tooling into client environments
Document system design decisions to support AI impact assessments

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience, including production AI/ML systems
Hands-on experience building with large language models and agentic architectures
Strong Python and TypeScript skills
Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)
Comfortable working alongside legal and governance functions, not just engineering

Preferred Certifications

Azure AI Engineer Associate — a plus
AWS Certified Machine Learning — a plus
